His background includes Bhakti and traditional Hatha Yoga in India, Sufism in Iran, Zen and Vipassana Buddhist practice, and a deep study of Iyengar Yoga. He is the author of The Mirror of Yoga and lives with his family in Boulder, Colorado, where he is the director of the Yoga Workshop.
